On March 28th, the San Antonio Zoo transformed into a whimsical evening of fun during the annual Kids Zoo Ball, themed Once Upon a Tail. This family-friendly celebration brought together community members and generous local supporters — all united in their shared mission to secure a future for wildlife. This year, DOCUmation was proud to serve as the Presenting and Print Sponsor, continuing our tradition of supporting this special event for the third consecutive year.
Friends of the zoo enjoyed a night of animal meet-and-greets, carousel rides, a dance party, face painting, and more. The heart of the evening centered around the Jungle Contest, where children served as ambassadors for the Zoo’s mission, while friends, families, and donors rallied behind them. The boy and girl whose campaigns raised the most funds were crowned King and Queen of the Jungle, with runners-up joining the Jungle Court. Every participant earned milestone prizes for their efforts.
Robby Brown, President of South Texas for DOCUmation, spoke at the event and shared what it means to support the Zoo alongside his own family each year:
