Jordan Abshier serves as Senior Consultant at DOCUmation Inc.; a San Antonio-based business technology company geared toward bringing best-in-class technology solutions to businesses throughout Texas.
As a Senior Consultant, Jordan works directly with current and prospective clients to identify areas of improvement within a business’ operations. His main areas of focus are print/production costs and processes, document workflow automation, IT and cyber and network security. The most rewarding part of his job is building relationships with companies and being allowed the opportunity to be a part of their successes and growth.
When asked what he is most passionate about, Jordan stated, “I am passionate about helping others. I have found the most important key to helping others is listening. And by listening, I mean actually hearing what really matters to them. Listening is the key to understanding where a client is, what is working, what is not, and where they are trying to go. Once you understand those things, you can help provide the right solution to help them achieve their goals and objectives as an organization.”
Jordan was recognized by DOCUmation with the President’s Award and The League Award in 2018 and 2019. He is active in the community and passionate about helping others. He is a member of The Non-Profit Council’s Business Influencer Groups and serves on the TNPC Membership Committee. In 2021, Jordan will begin serving on the board of The Nonprofit Council and continue as secretary and board member for Social Venter Partners San Antonio.
We asked Jordan what core values he leans on the most. Jordan thoughtfully replies, “Character and hard work are the two values I think are most important. If you have character and always do what is right and have the work ethic to never give up, you can achieve anything you set your eyes on.”
Jordan has a Bachelor’s degree in marketing from Abilene Christian University. Jordan is active in his church and participated in worship activities, teaching small group classes for the youth group, and serving in other ministries. In his spare time, Jordan enjoys golfing, fishing and cooking with his wife, Kiersten. They are proud to announce they are expecting their first child in May 2021.
Jordan considers himself a hometown kid who has been in San Antonio since 5th grade. He is proud to work for a local family owned business that is focused on providing services and supports the community he loves.
