DOCUmation’s Service That Serves Week 2026

Written by Cynthia Castaneda-Prieto | 2026

At DOCUmation serving our communities has always been about more than the technology and services we provide. Texas is home to our employees, customers, families, and peers, and giving back to the communities that support us is an important part of who we are.

Each year, our Service That Serves Week gives our teams across Texas an opportunity to step away from their normal routines and spend time giving back.

What is Service that Serves Week?

Service That Serves Week is an annual DOCUmation tradition dedicated to giving back. Throughout the week, employees across our Texas branches volunteer with local nonprofit organizations while also raising funds in support of United Way and its work throughout Texas.

For our employees, its an opportunity to serve alongside coworkers in a different way and learn more about the organizations supporting their neighbors. For the communities we serve, it means extra hands, resources, and support for organizations working hard to meet local needs.

Most importantly, the week helps us build deeper connections with the communities DOCUmation is proud to serve and call home.

Service That Serves Week Branch Highlights

As each branch stepped out into their community to volunteer their time, here are some highlights from our volunteer efforts across Texas.

Dallas-Fort Worth

Our Dallas-Fort Worth branch kicked off Service That Serves Week at the Tarrant Area Food Bank.

Working together, the team helped sort and pack 25,099 pounds of food, enough to provide approximately 20,915 meals for local families.

East Texas

Across East Texas, our teams volunteered in Temple, Athens, and Tyler, supporting local organizations that provide food and other resources to people throughout their communities.

Temple

In Temple, team members spent time volunteering with The Salvation Army, helping with several of the organization’s day to day needs.

Throughout their time there, our volunteers helped distribute approximately 350 pounds of food, answered around 50 phone calls, and welcomed roughly 30 community members who came through the doors looking for assistance and information.

Athens

Our Athens team joined the Community Care Food Pantry to help distribute more than 300 food bags to families throughout Henderson County.

The day gave our team an opportunity to work alongside an organization that is helping ensure local families have access to the food and resources they need.

Tyler

In Tyler, our team volunteered at the East Texas Food Bank, where they packed 1,175 pounds of food and beverage items for distribution throughout the community.

That included 1,050 pounds of beverages and 125 pounds of rice, all prepared to help support individuals and families across Tyler.

West Texas

Our West Texas team over in Midland spent their time with the West Texas Food Bank.

Working together, team members helped package 740 meal kits for students across the community, supporting the food bank’s efforts to make sure local students have access to meals when they need them.

Houston

Our Houston team joined Meals on Wheels Montgomery County for a busy day of preparing meals, organizing supplies, and making deliveries for local seniors and their pets.

The team decorated and filled 40 dog food bags, while some volunteers jumped into the kitchen to help prepare meals. They also completed 85 breakfast bundles, with seven individual breakfast bags in each bundle, and checked and sorted approximately 100 donated breakfast bags.

To finish out the day, team members headed into the community to complete 5 delivery routes, getting meals and supplies directly to the people who rely on them.

San Antonio

Our headquarters and San Antonio sales team spent their day volunteering at the Texas Diaper Bank, where they helped repackage more than 57,000 diapers and feminine hygiene products for families in need.

Volunteers were split between morning and afternoon sessions, with the morning team packaging 22,006 products and the afternoon team packaging another 35,275.

By the end of the day, the two groups had repackaged 57,281 products for distribution to families throughout the community.

DOCUmation's Impact

Every bag packed, meal prepped, phone call answered, and hour volunteered added up to something bigger. Across Texas, our teams came together to support community members and organizations doing important work in the communities we serve.

During Service That Serves Week 2026, DOCUmation employees contributed:

  • $12,000+ raised in support of United Way’s mission to support communities across Texas.

  • 57,281 essential hygiene products repackaged for distribution to families through the Texas Diaper Bank.

  • 26,274 total pounds of food sorted and packed for families in need at the East Texas Food Bank and Tarrant Area Food Bank.

  • 740 meal kits created at the West Texas Food Bank to help provide meals for local students.

  • 595 breakfast bags prepared into bundles for Meals on Wheels Montgomery County.

  • 300+ food bags distributed throughout Henderson County through the Community Care Food Pantry of Athens.

  • 80+ community members assisted through direct phone and in-person interactions at The Salvation Army in Temple.

  • 406+ volunteer hours dedicated to serving communities across Texas

These numbers tell part of the story, but Service That Serves Week is really about the people and communities behind it. We’re grateful to every DOCUmation team member who volunteered, donated, and helped make Service That Serves Week 2026 possible. We’re equally thankful for the local organizations that welcomed our teams and gave us the opportunity to be a part of the work they do every day.
