Evolving Legacy: DOCUmation’s Blend of Tradition, Technology and Innovation
At DOCUmation, we’re proud of our long history and the values that have driven our success. Recently, our leaders, Hunter and Preston Woolfolk, shared our story on the What’s Happenin’ podcast with Andy Slawetsky of Industry Analysts.
Our journey began with our grandfather, Lou Scantland, who started the first plain paper copier dealership in the U.S. back in the 1950s. His pioneering spirit laid the foundation for what DOCUmation is today. Since our official formation in 1990, we’ve grown from our roots in San Antonio to locations across Texas, always focused on serving our customers with exceptional service.
While we started with copiers, we’ve expanded our services to include managed IT services, software solutions, smart boards, and phone systems. Our IT division, in particular, has seen incredible growth, becoming the fastest-growing part of our business. We’re also excited about our ongoing expansion through strategic acquisitions within Texas, aiming to find partners who share our commitment to outstanding service.
As technology continues to evolve, we remain dedicated to helping our clients navigate the challenges of cybersecurity and IT management. Ensuring our clients have the right tools and knowledge to stay secure is a top priority for us.
We invite you to listen to the full interview with Hunter and Preston on the What’s Happenin’ podcast to learn more about our journey and what the future holds for DOCUmation. Tune in and get to know the people behind the company and our vision for the future.
