Inside the Internship: Meet Gianna Henderson of Pensacola Christian College
Gianna is a junior at Pensacola Christian College studying marketing. At just 19 years old, she’s on track to graduate within the next year, and this summer she’s in Dallas-Fort Worth gaining real-world sales experience as an Account Executive Intern with DOCUmation. With prior customer-facing roles at Chick-fil-A and Abeka, she’s no stranger to delivering outstanding customer experiences—making exceptional service second nature as she steps into the world of business technology sales.

Why She Chose DOCUmation
Gianna says she wanted more than a shadowing role.
“I knew I was really looking for something that was a sales internship that was more immersive, and DOCUmation seemed to be a lot more hands-on. They definitely wanted you to be able to learn and grow and get the whole experience. That’s exactly why I chose DOCUmation, and that is what I’m getting out of it—hands-on learning where they’re developing you as a person and also as a sales professional.”
Why DOCUmation?
For Gianna, one of the most impressive parts of DOCUmation’s culture is the strong sense of connection across all branches. Whether she’s collaborating with team members in Dallas-Fort Worth or hearing from colleagues in Houston, San Antonio, or West Texas, the experience feels consistent—supportive, collaborative, and unified. Even hundreds of miles apart, branches share the same commitment to helping each other succeed, celebrating wins together, and working toward common goals.
Motivation & Mindset
Gianna thrives in environments where every day brings an opportunity to learn something new. When asked what drives her, she didn’t hesitate to name curiosity as her biggest motivator.
“Learning is what motivates me—just to get in here every day, grow, and see where I’ll be in the future.”
A Win Worth Celebrating
In her first week, Gianna booked three appointments through her own prospecting efforts. Her background in high-volume, customer-facing environments helped her quickly connect with prospects, communicate clearly, and follow through—turning early outreach into real opportunities. Seeing results so quickly was both rewarding and motivating—proof that her outreach skills were developing and encouragement to keep building on that momentum.
Who Inspires Her
Gianna credits much of her drive and professional mindset to lessons learned at home. Growing up, she saw firsthand the dedication, discipline, and work ethic her dad brought to his career. Watching him build a successful business left a lasting impression and shaped her own approach to challenges and opportunities.
“Somebody that I admire, especially in the professional world and that’s definitely motivated me to get into this, is my dad. He’s a great businessman, and the characteristics he’s built have taught me to work hard and get involved on a professional level.”
Outside the Office
When she’s not working or studying, Gianna enjoys spending time with friends and family, reading, baking, and playing basketball.
Advice to Her Freshman-Year Self
“Put yourself out there more. Meet as many people as you can. Connect with people because you’re still trying to figure out exactly what it is that you want to do, but the more perspectives and the more people you’re constantly learning and growing from definitely helps guide you in the path that you want to go.”
