## Introduction 

Brooklyn, known to friends, family, and her peers as “Scout,” is a law student at the University of Mississippi interning with DOCUmation of Dallas-Fort Worth. Originally from the area, she’s embracing the chance to gain professional experience close to home. This is her first role in a corporate office, and she’s taken on the challenge with energy and enthusiasm.

## Why Intern at DOCUmation?

The positive, team-oriented environment was the biggest draw for Scout. From her very first day, she felt confident she had made the right choice. She wanted to develop her professionalism, learn how a corporate office operates, and step into responsibilities that would prepare her for life after college.

## What Makes DOCUmation of DFW Stand Out

In her first weeks, Scout was struck by how welcoming everyone was—especially the other interns. She’s built strong connections and enjoys collaborating, sharing ideas, and learning from her peers.

As she wraps up her internship, she’s proud of how much she’s grown. She’s been entrusted with increasing responsibilities, from data entry to assisting on team projects, and those moments of trust from her team have been a major win. Now, after a summer in Texas, she’s heading back to Ole Miss for the fall semester—bringing with her improved confidence in the workplace, new professional skills, and a deeper understanding of the ins and outs of what it takes to keep a business running successfully behind the scenes.

## Thinking Outside the Box

Scout is fueled by creativity, seeing every challenge as an open canvas for fresh ideas and inventive solutions. That same curiosity and problem-solving mindset that drives her as a law student also shapes how she approaches her work at DOCUmation. For her, creativity means applying resourcefulness and critical thinking to find better ways of doing things, whether that’s reimagining a process or tackling an unfamiliar task. She thrives in environments where she can test ideas, adapt quickly, and contribute solutions that make an impact.

## Who She Admires

Scout looks up to Zack Mahan, Executive Vice President of DOCUmation, Dallas-Fort Worth, for his determination, leadership, and ability to inspire others to reach their highest potential.

## Outside the Office

When she’s not studying or working, Scout enjoys building Legos, watching movies, and taking walks outside with her cats.

## Advice to Her Freshman Self 

Scout’s advice is simple: Don’t take everything so seriously. Focus on yourself, not comparisons, and make sure you’re taking care of your own well-being first.
