United Way Week 2024 - Giving back to our community.

What is United Way Week?

  • United Way Week is a special time when DOCUmation partners with our local United Way to make a lasting impact on the community. Throughout the week, our employees participate in volunteer activities and contribute through monetary donations, with the goal of uplifting and supporting those in need. This week unites our team, strengthens our community, and reflects our commitment to giving back. DOCUmation proudly supports United Way’s mission of improving lives, and together, we create a better future for Texans.

Why We Participate

Our Commitment to Community Engagement

  • At DOCUmation, we embrace core values of High Quality, Character, Professionalism, Innovation, Inspired Attitude, Exceptional Service, and Community. These values drive everything we do, and community engagement remains central to our mission. United Way Week provides an opportunity for us to put these values into action by giving back to our Texas community. By joining forces with United Way, we work toward our shared goal of improving the lives of our fellow Texans and strengthening our communities.

Benefits to Employees and the Community

  • United Way Week empowers our employees to participate in meaningful volunteer work, fostering connections with their coworkers and the larger community. Many of our team members care deeply about causes close to their hearts, and this week channels that passion into action. Working alongside United Way representatives, we introduce our team to areas of need within Texas, demonstrating how every person can make a difference. Volunteerism not only benefits the community but also enhances mental well-being by providing a sense of purpose, building social connections, and offering relief from daily stress.

Branch Highlights

San Antonio & Woodlake Warehouse:

  • Our San Antonio branch participated in multiple events during United Way Week. We began the week with a presentation from our United Way representative and followed up with two off-site volunteer opportunities at the Texas Diaper Bank. Additionally, we hosted an on-site activity where employees assembled Literacy Kits for United Way, which will be donated to local partners to support early childhood education.

Dallas Fort Worth:

  • The DFW branch kicked off United Way Week with a presentation on United Way’s mission and community goals. Throughout the week, our team created Care Cards for Veterans, thanking them for their service. Additionally, they volunteered at the Tarrant Area Food Bank, where they sorted and organized food donations to support hunger relief in the region.

Houston:

  • In Houston, our team started the week with a kickoff presentation from United Way, then immediately began creating Care Cards for patients in hospitals and nursing homes. Employees also volunteered with Meals on Wheels to deliver nutritious meals to those in need across the community.
“United Week in Houston was awesome. It was a special time to step away from our normal roles and get to see the hearts of the people you work with. It was such a great experience and makes me even more grateful that I get to work with so many amazing people in our office that care so much and find joy in being a blessing to other.”

West Texas – Midland:
